The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) has
strongly recommends receiving the influenza vaccination to prepare for the
2025–2026 flu season. Influenza spreads especially easily during seasonal
transitions and can rapidly circulate in densely populated environments such as
university campuses. The government¡¯s designated recipients of free vaccination
are children aged 6 months to 13 years and adults aged 65 and older, while
international students are classified as non-insured and must cover the
vaccination cost themselves.
In Korea, influenza vaccination is generally recommended from September 2025 to
April 2026, and completing the vaccination during this period helps ensure
effective protection.
